Office Assistant - Part Time or Internship

Job Description
Overview: We are a family, women-owned training and room rental company searching for a highly motivated individual to join our team and help us during our busy times. Must be extremely organized, self-reliant, proactive, and detail oriented.
Job Type: Part-time or Internship could turn into full time position
  • Salary: Starting at $10 /hour
  • Hours per Week: 20-30
  • 1099 Position (self-employed contractor)
Required education:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
Gain Experience in the IT and Training Industry by working side by side with the VP of Operations and Lead Instructors. If you like people and computers, this may be a great opportunity for you. 

  • Provide administrative support to the VP of Operations and instructors.
  • Maintain accurate database of client leads and communications.
  • Research information requests from the VP of Operations and instructors.
  • Schedule or coordinate meetings or appointments.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and coordinate communication w/ vendors and customers in the event of a Manager’s absence.
  • Welcome and direct guests as they arrive for their training session.
  • Preparation for meetings and training's including scheduling and coordinating lunches.
  • Book travel when necessary.
  • Occasionally proctor standardised tests
  • Must be flexible to work M-F. Some mornings require early arrival (7:00am).

*Basic Computer skills required. 

Physical Demands: 
  • Lift and carry 25 lbs.
  • Prepare training rooms prior to events making sure computer equipment is clean and dust free. 
  • Frequently required to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Push/pull dollies and carts
  • Set up and clean up lunches. 

*Opportunity to use sales and marketing skills to acquire new leads.
